Soon I Won’t Be Here

Once upon a time, I wrote songs, and so I’ve decided to share some of the lyrics here as I enjoy picking up my guitar after many moons apart.

Soon I won't be here
and you won't have to hear my whinin'.
I'll be those sour tears
you no longer find the need for cryin'.

You can call out my name
I will be out of range.
Demand that I'm there.
I could be anywhere.

Soon I won't be 'round
beginning you to think about me.
Soon I'm leaving town
You'll have to learn to drown with out me.

You can call out my name,
I will be out of range.
Demand that I'm there.
I could be anywhere.

Soon I'll disappear.
With all this heartache left inside me.
Soon they'll be no fear, my dear.
You won't have to find a place to hide me.

You can call out my name,
I will be out of range.
Demand that I'm there.
I could be anywhere.

You have lingered here.
I'm washing you out.
This is not your home.
I am not your doubt.

What's it all about?

Man, playing and singing simultaneously is tough. I hadn’t picked up the guitar in a long time when I recorded this, and there’s several major mess-ups, but this gives you an idea of what I wanted the song to sound like, so please be kind.
