Stories Written In Chalk

Draw a box,
hopscotch,
tippy toes,
count and hop.
This spring,
my son’s Titanic sinks
in the concrete sea.
Impressionistic flowers,
daughter’s rainbow fingers
arch with belief.
I raise my eyes from the page
watch them pick their next piece,
stories written in chalk.

    1. Thank you, David. So nice of you to come hunting for my post. Chalk it up to exhaustion, but it’s okay. Life goes on and I enjoyed all the chalky poetry. 💜.
