NaPoWriMo #6 Risk Factors

Today’s task on NaPoWriMo.net is a spin on an acrostic poem. Use a quote and create a line for each word in the quote. I have picked a poignant quote from a favorite author of mine. Enjoy the irony!

Risk Factors

Life sentence lip lock.
Is six-feet under safe from
a chill and a cough?
Disease segregates us, a
sexually organized apartheid
transmitted as hate and stigma,
and the cheap protective wear
invariably rips and fails,
fatal, blue-gray pale.

Life is a disease, sexually transmitted and invariably fatal.

Neil Gaiman

P.S. I’ve finally (finally! πŸ˜‚ ) managed to get that 6-part series all up and released online. Fixed all the kinks & hope you enjoy it! Take all the time you need & I’d love to hear your thoughts after each chapter πŸ™‚ ❀

      • πŸ™ƒ nonsense. You take your amazing prose, wet it, ring it out, and see to it you hang it in the sunshine. I’m sure you pen amazing poetry or easily could.😎

Congratulations, Tom, on ironing out the series. I can’t wait to take it in. Bravo for what must have been a lot of hard work.πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘
