The city is a serving tray.
Watchtower kettle brews
a secret blend of leaves,
steeps the perfect recipe.
Dessert tower cathedral
holds scrumptious delights,
displayed at staggering heights.
The moon above’s a macaroon,
a sweet and crunchy delicacy,
chewie almond symmetry.
The steeple’s a stirrer
swirling misty creations–
cocktails, spirits, strong libations.
As I strut the highball avenue,
martini streetlights gleam,
buttery custard cream.
Night unfolds its napkin,
garnishes the city with a twist:
lemon, lime, and grapefruit kissed.
churning in a beveled dish.
Catch a sugar-bowl bus,
a sweet sightseeing rush
and decanter these streets;
life’s piquant treats.
