Songshine Sounds

Does your spirit crave the new? I know mine does. So every Monday, I will feature a new song that wasn’t even in existence the week before. Yes, it’s true. Great new music is still being made every week. I will mix up the genres and artists to keep the surprises coming.

Indie pop trio AJR teamed up with Brooklyn-based indie pop band a Daisy the Great to create a collaborative version of one of their latest song “Record Player.”

    Have you ever wondered just how many songs can be written? How many ways can musical notes be rearranged before the combinations run out?

      It feels infinite and magical. Also, the same combinations can be put to a different tempo or with different instruments, lyrics, inflection to make new art. In a way, music is boundless.

        Thanks, John. You already knew this; just like you can photograph the same hillside or object and get amazingly different photos.

      Yes, well, did I? For me, anywhere new inspires. I’m always looking to make another move. I’ve found life’s journey requires light baggage and lots of courage.
