Does your spirit crave the new? I know mine does. So every Monday, I will feature a new song that wasn’t even in existence the week before. Yes, it’s true. Great new music is still being made every week. I will mix up the genres and artists to keep the surprises coming.


Illinois-born Singer-songwriter Pokey LaFarge got his nickname “Pokey” from his mother, who would scold him for poking around every time they were trying to go somewhere.

LaFarge was greatly influenced by his grandfathers growing up. One played banjo in the St. Louis Banjo Club and the other, an amateur historian, taught LaFarge about theAmerican Civil WarandWorld War LaFarge also enjoyed reading John Steinbeck,Ernest Hemingway, andJack Kerouac.
